We're In This Together
Ensuring your lash extensions stay fresh and fabulous every day is key! It's surprising how many people overlook the importance of post-application care for their lashes. Neglecting this crucial step can cause retention problems for lash artists and their clients alike. If you're facing this dilemma, worry not – I've got your back!
While having your lashes done may be considered a luxury, it is also seen as an investment. In today's economy, everyone wants to save money, right?
OK, now lean in lash lovers. BREAKING NEWS! Your lash stylist knows when you are not properly cleaning your lashes or taking the proper aftercare steps. The idea of cleaning your lashes daily seems scary right?! Your natural lashes and lash extensions can hold dirt, debris, and even bacteria daily. Not cleaning your lash extensions can also cause premature shedding. Over time this could cause irritation, allergic reactions, infection, blepharitis, etc. Blepharitis is very common infection that causes inflammation of the eyelids with flaky scales on the lid and lashes. Some of the symptoms may be burning of the eyes, crusty eyelids, itching, swelling, and in some severe cases blurred visions. If blepharitis or any infection occurs lash extensions must be removed and that person should be seen by their physician.
Of course there are other things that can play a part in lash retention such as lifestyle, diet, medications, hormones, or health conditions. I would recommend to disclose that information with you lash tech before hand so they can properly assess how to provide the proper care and lash service for you if you are comfortable enough to do so. Make sooner appointments if at all possible to maintain that full look.

Avoid extreme heat (saunas, ovens, direct steam, etc.)
Sleep on your side
Avoid picking and rubbing lashes
DO NOT get lashes wet for 24 hours after appointment
Wait at least 24 hours before working out (this could cause the adhesive to be affected by sweat and interfere with retention)
Wash your lashes DAILY
